Our Mid-Market Business Development team plays a vital role in creating new business opportunities for the TELUS Business Solutions sales team. They act as ambassadors, opening doors to sales opportunities, acquiring new customers, and driving revenue growth. The team's top-performing members are quick to adapt to changing conditions and are innovative in their approach to problem-solving. They have excellent communication skills and can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner. Additionally, they possess great interpersonal skills that help them make a positive first impression.

Here’s what we’ll accomplish together

We are seeking motivated and dynamic professionals with excellent business acumen, technical and telecommunications skills, and natural sales instincts to join our Commercial sales team as a Business Development Representative in a remote capacity.


As a part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from diverse industries and at all levels. The ideal candidate should aspire to grow in their career following a well-defined development path.

Here’s how

  • Prospect, research and hunt for new logos in an assigned territory
  • Identify client needs and propose appropriate products/services
  • Weekly reporting to the Sales Leader on sales results vs. target
  • Manage presentations and demos of TELUS Business Solutions for customers
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders on strategy

Qualifications


What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university with a major in business administration, digital marketing, statistics, trend analysis, economics, or a related field – Preferred
  • Experience in Direct Sales and/or B2B sales
  • Focus on sales of technology solutions
  • Digital native, active on social media, solid business acumen and passion for research
  • Self-starter, high energy and positive attitude
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicting priorities

Salary Range: $56,000-$84,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: $30,000-60,000

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
