TELUS Supply Operations is responsible for purchasing, managing, and distributing materials and services across our company. With over 1,000 points of presence, we are transforming how we deliver services to our customers and the communities we serve.

As a Business Consultant in Supply Operations, you will play a pivotal role in our multi-year journey to enhance our core supply chain skills, streamline business processes, and implement new systems. You will champion process improvement within the Consumer Purchasing and Inventory Management team, supporting and leading aspects of our transformation.

Here’s how

  • Leading and managing activities for your team, supporting a major company-wide business transformation and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system upgrade
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define business requirements and ensure successful project delivery
  • Acting as a change agent, ensuring team members are fully engaged, supported, and developed throughout the business transformation process
  • Providing guidance and support to team members in implementing process improvements and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency
  • Conducting analyses of current processes to identify areas for improvement in supply chain and inventory planning
  • Preparing and presenting projects to executive-level stakeholders, highlighting strategies, achievements, and challenges

Qualifications

You’re the missing piece of the puzzle

  • A degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in process improvement and project management
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to identify areas for improvement, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions
  • Proficient in tools and techniques such as process mapping, data analysis, and statistical analysis to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies in the supply chain
  • Project Management Skills: Proven ability to effectively plan, execute, and monitor improvement initiatives. Skilled in defining project goals, developing project plans, allocating resources, and tracking progress
  • Change Management with Empathy: Adept at understanding the challenges and concerns of team members and addressing them with empathy. Builds trust, fosters collaboration, and creates a positive work environment where team members feel valued and supported
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams, gather input, drive consensus, and implement process changes
  • Solid understanding and experience of inventory planning processes and systems (e.g., SAP) in a supply chain environment
  • Great leadership and empathetic team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire

Great-to-Haves

  • Detailed knowledge and experience of SAP S4
  • Project management certification
  • Experience as a Lean Six Sigma practitioner

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
