We are looking for a Health Business Consultant to support strategic initiatives within the Payor Solutions team. As a member of this forward-thinking, agile and passionate team you will be a key contributor to priority programs meant to drive growth and innovation for our organization and our customers.

In this role, you will understand and support the vision for future-proofing our solutions in both the private and public payor landscapes. You will work in partnership with business area(s) to identify and drive transformative and strategic change in the provider registry and health navigation space. The successful candidate will liaise with stakeholders across the organization and work collaboratively to deliver solutions that will move the business forward in terms of value proposition and revenue generation.


What you’ll do

• Become an expert in provider registries and technology-driven health navigation (AI) and value-based care across private and public sectors
• Study the competitive landscape and offer consultative expertise to support strategies to ensure strategic programs are optimized for success and accelerated growth
• Portray strong business acumen, strategic and critical thinking capabilities that leverage research findings to develop and enhance strategies and action plans
• Link strategic concepts to tactical execution with strong awareness of risk and downstream / upstream impacts
• Work closely with Senior Business Analyst to develop compelling business cases underpinned by objective financial and operational considerations
• Imagine new synergies within a portfolio of strong health technology solutions and validate ideas and assumptions with key stakeholders
• Creatively prepare frameworks and detailed presentations to illustrate complex solutions in a clear, concise manner; oftentimes from the ground up
• Engage with external stakeholders to support and grow strategic partnerships
• Maintain a strong understanding of TELUS applications, product and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and TELUS end-to-end processes
• Using facts and data, provide expert-level insight into business problems and opportunities and identify and execute on the collaboration required for resolution

Qualifications


What you bring

• 7-10 years of relevant experience and university degree
• Experience in healthcare, benefits or digital health industry
• Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems in Canada and US markets
• An ability to pivot while maintaining resilience amidst ambiguity and shifting priorities
• Strong financial acumen including understanding of general financial principles (i.e. budget management & understanding a P&L) and experience building business cases
• Ability to drive progress with independent thinking and action
• An energetic solutions-focussed approach to executing on all deliverables
• Curiosity and a passion for solving complex problems with innovative solutions
• Convey ideas succinctly and with influence both verbal and visually
• Facilitation and negotiation skills (advanced)

Salary Range: $80,000-$120,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
