We are currently seeking a highly motivated Senior product owner to establish and manage an ecosystem of systems and tools that support our sales channels. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of planning and managing impactful, data-driven digital marketing programs that drive acquisition, nurture, and retain customers through a defined journey across the customer and rep lifecycle.
As a senior product owner for the TECh team, you will establish a roadmap for all critical capabilities to be introduced into the various platforms that support our sales channels, aligned with our Book of Business program. With an initial focus on scaling up our CRM solution, you will work with various stakeholder groups, software vendors and technical teams to identify and implement key product enhancements to the various platforms in the ecosystem

Here's how:

As a Senior Product Owner for the TECh ecosystem, you will:

  • Provide subject-matter expertise on the various systems the TECh team supports, with a keen understanding of how all the systems work together to support customer and rep journeys in our sales channels
  • Be an advocate for our customers and sales reps by seeking to understand their needs and bring to life ideas that improve their experience with extended commerce applications
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the various customer base segments, products and objectives to be able to support the sales team on achieving business objectives.
  • Work daily with diverse groups of stakeholders, and empower cross-functional partners and vendor partners to feel ownership of the business and to reach their highest potential
  • As a problem solver on the team, you will:
  • Use your strong problem identification skills and outstanding ability to use analytics to distill insights that allow you to make thoughtful, strategic recommendations
  • Solve complex challenges with a team of passionate business owners, rolling up your sleeves to develop and execute creative solutions
  • Have freedom to explore your curiosity by probing, asking, and digging in to better understand our customers and business partners

Qualifications

As a delivery lead, you will:

  • Build organizational support and the understanding of the strategic direction of the product
  • Define tangible product roadmap; actively own and be responsible for the product backlog and prioritize based on feedback and value:
  • Manage and prioritize a backlog of user stories.
  • Drive customer value and help reduce customer and sales rep effort.
  • Regularly refine and adjust your backlogs to reflect accurate scope, effort and priority as it becomes available from stakeholders.
  • Balance expectations and remove business and roadmap impediments
  • Aid in the preparation and delivery of platform demonstrations, and effectively handle technical questions from stakeholders
  • Publish the TECh ecosystem roadmap and work with cross-functional teams to prioritize, secure funding and deliver on the changes required to advance our strategy

What you bring:

  • Experience in product development (hardware or software) and technical delivery, with 2-3 years of product management/ownership of customer facing products/applications
  • 3+ years of marketing, project management, and/or digital experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to build, lead and influence virtual teams
  • Strong knowledge of marketing fundamentals, products/services/solutions and knowledge management
  • Comfortable with understanding architecture how it will impact/apply to our roadmap

Required Professional Designation/Certification:

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business/Marketing
Salary Range: $96,000-$144,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
