We are seeking a financially astute, analytical, and action-oriented Senior Strategy Manager to lead overall OPEX management and financial strategy for the Consumer Marketing & Channels (CMC) team. You will be at the helm of CMCs financial strategy and will work closely with Senior Leadership and other team members involved with strategic mandates to consolidate, analyse, and report on CMC financials (OPEX and other relevant KPIs). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic financial guidance to senior management.


What you’ll do:

  • Manage the financial planning and budgeting process, including socializing financial targets provided by Finance teams and monitoring performance against targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute financial plans and forecasts
  • Prepare and analyze monthly / quarterly OPEX triage reports flagging risks & opportunities in a timely manner
  • Advance cost optimization / efficiency mandates through strong stakeholder engagement, thoughtful frameworks and ROI-based prioritization models
  • Provide financial guidance and support to senior management in decision-making processes
  • Serve as the key interlock prime across Business Units and Finance teams on ad hoc financial mandates provided by Senior Leadership
  • Lead strategy sessions and program manage various compensation enablement initiatives across channels
  • Undertake ownership and delivery of results on special projects identified by the executive team, such as strategic incentive structure changes, cost reduction initiatives, etc.
  • Confidently present to and influence an executive audience through compelling storytelling

Qualifications

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role and/or related education with demonstrated performance and increasing levels of responsibility
  • You are a self-starter with proven organization and time-management skills and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and deadlines
  • You have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and are comfortable working with ambiguity with a demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically
  • You enjoy making complex problems easy to understand and can present solutions, impacts, and outcomes of various solutions
  • You are comfortable working with all levels of management across the organization; experience with executive reporting an asset
  • You are a compelling communicator, persuasive storyteller (visually and verbally)
  • You enjoy distilling a lot of complex information into a simple, compelling recommendation and story for an executive audience
  • You have excellent attention to detail and focus on accuracy
  • You possess a ‘can-do’ attitude and will roll up your sleeves to get things done when team members require additional support
  • You have excellent analytical proficiency
  • You are action-oriented and passionate about driving ideas / plans through to execution
  • English verbal and written is required for this opportunity

Great-to-haves:

  • 5+ years of experience in Finance or Opex management role
  • Portfolio, Program, Project and/or Product Management experience an asset
  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Chartered Financial Analyst or similar designation

Salary Range: $94,000-$142,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%
