The Senior Producer is a consummate creative professional looking to challenge themselves as they create the stories that propel the TELUS Brand forward. TELUS Studios is the in-house creative team and as a Senior Producer you will be one of its lead creatives. TELUS Studios produces high-quality, original content for both external and internal audiences. To be successful, you’ll have to be fantastic with clients, undeniably creative, highly committed to producing engaging, on-target content, and passionate about working with a cross-section of creative colleagues.

Reporting to the Manager, TELUS Studios – Video, you will be part of a team of professional storytellers who are relentless in their search for new ways to engage audiences through video across all platforms. Our culture fosters collaborative learning in a fast-paced environment. We push boundaries while protecting the TELUS brand and serving the audience.

What you’ll do

Pre Production:

  • Strategize with clients over production requirements and offer innovative solutions that champion the TELUS brand while staying within budget
  • Establish realistic expectations and delight clients with creative ideas
  • Create production budgets for client approval
  • Craft compelling scripts using your proven storytelling capabilities
  • Present your storyboards to client leadership groups for approval

Production:

  • You are the on set director ensuring that your approved vision is captured by the cameras
  • Direct on camera talent
  • Conduct interviews for camera
  • Direct crews of 3-30 people depending on the production requirements
  • Manage client relationships during production
  • Work efficiently with production crews to stay within agreed schedules

Post Production:

  • Collaborate with editors, offering detailed direction on story structure based on storyboards and scripts
  • Manage post production approvals with clients
  • Ensure all client revisions are made or addressed during the approval process
  • Ensure video material adheres to corporate branding guidelines, TELUS values, style guides, editorial policy, and copyright laws

Great-to-haves

  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree in media-related training, broadcast television, video production, and/or broadcast journalism
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience within the corporate video, advertising, television and/or film industries
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills
Salary Range: $83,000-$125,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 15%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits, which may vary per job function, such as:
