You will be joining the Chief Security Office (CSO) as part of the Security Clearance & Screening (SC&S) team.
The primary focus of this team is the security clearance and screening processes required by TELUS to meet contractual, policy and regulatory requirements. You will be assisting our team members to make sure they have the correct security clearance in place for the work they need to do.


What you’ll do

As a front line member of the Security Clearance & Screening team you will respond to inquiries sent to TELUS regarding security clearances and screening by our customers. You will assist team members through their clearance and screening processes. You will also provide Security Officer functions, as required. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining the Security Clearance & Screening team’s operating environment and with the team’s continuous process improvement initiatives. Lastly, you will support any initiatives within the CSO related to cybersecurity.

Qualifications

What you bring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work based on importance and urgency, deal with customer demands and resolve conflicts and customer issues when needed
  • A creative thinker with good analytical abilities
  • A strong team player, able to work independently and within a team, creating constructive and effective working relationships internally and externally
  • Post-secondary, College or University Degree or Certificate in Computer Science & Technology or related field
  • Must be able to obtain Government of Canada Security clearance at a Secret Level II or greater
  • 1-3 years of systems/data experience

Great-to-haves

  • Currently hold or have held a valid security clearance certificate from Government of Canada at a Reliability Level or greater
  • Verbal and written proficiency in French is an asset

Salary Range: $56,000-$84,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 10%

Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience. In addition, TELUS offers rewarding benefits such as:
