This position is with TELUS Health's Consumer Health team, which is dedicated to providing integrated healthcare solutions that improve access to quality health and well-being services, in partnership with the public healthcare system in Canada. The team employs a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model across all solutions, facilitated by secure digital access points. We aim to use our technology and innovation to help the healthcare system deliver timely and accessible care.


In our highly dynamic, fast-paced team environment, you will develop and execute strategies to support client and health sector growth opportunities. Your key focus is on expanding our services to meet the needs of the public healthcare sector in British Columbia and Alberta.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on territory plans and business development strategies for new and existing public sector partners to drive meaningful value to them as thought leaders and trusted advisors while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with key partners and prospects to expand TELUS Health’s contribution to improving care options for Canadians within the public sector
  • Develop and nurture relationships with prospective clients and partners through networking, attending and participating in events and conferences, public speaking and other sources
  • Work collaboratively to lead and develop proposals and responses to procurement opportunities and get alignment with appropriate stakeholders within TELUS and externally across various organizations and authorities
  • Assist in developing programs and initiatives tailored to amplify the value TELUS Health provides to public sector partners
  • Prepare and present comprehensive and compelling business presentations to various internal and external constituencies, including senior executives in partner organizations

Required Knowledge

Client Strategy Development

  • Experience in leading client strategy development and execution including strong business management skills (development of client strategies, value propositions, client proposals, client contract development and negotiations)
  • Proficiency and genuine appetite to develop a deep understanding of the shifting public health priorities and to define new business models and compelling rationale for change that elicits new opportunities for TELUS


Business Execution

  • Self-starter with ability to manage a wide variety of projects while thriving in a team environment
  • Ability to develop and effectively manage growth opportunities through leveraging existing TELUS relationships and making cold calls
  • Ability to identify and qualify opportunities before engaging specialized subject matter experts internally
  • High comfort level in group and one-on-one presentation environments
  • Assist in procurement response process including: opportunity assessment and qualification, conduct scoping/validation, develop RFP response
  • Track record of consistent overachievement in public sector health
  • Strong use of sales tools and selling methodology to support a differentiated sales experience for customers and a high success ratio of strategic wins
  • Collaborative and effective communicator across teams



Required Professional Designation/Certification

  • University degree or equivalent experience at a senior level
  • MBA a strong asset
  • Clinical designations and experience a strong asset
  • Professional Sales certification(s) is a strong asset


Required Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ successful experience in a combination of sales/business development and client experience management ideally in public sector health
  • Knowledge of current trends in public sector and patient-centric healthcare an asset
  • Knowledge of and experience in Canada’s healthcare sector preferred
  • Record of achievement in successfully meeting business development, client relationship and strategy objectives
  • Demonstrated success in executing a business and/or account plan with minimal direction
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills
  • Ability to travel within British Columbia and Alberta regularly, and across Canada occasionally
  • Bilingual English and French is a strong asset
Salary Range: $106,000-$160,000
Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: $80,000-120,000
