Overview

 

TELUS has expanded its technology offerings for its digital transformation solutions significantly. We have grouped these solutions into categories such as Fully Managed. Our BDRs call on existing customers centered on campaigns, and identify sales opportunities. As a BDR, you will conduct exploratory conversations with current and potential customers, and successfully position the TELUS value proposition to secure a book meeting for Account Executives.

 

This position offers a base salary and commission. TELUS employees who demonstrate high performance and commitment will have the opportunity for career development and advancement within sales.

 

Here’s how YOU will be successful: 

 

  • You will book discovery meetings for our Account Specialists. It’s that simple. No politics or policy to get in your way. 
  • You will receive the best training for making outbound calls
  • You will build incredible skills that will be the foundation of your selling and rapport building for your entire career 
  • You will conduct high volume prospecting (60-100 activities per day) to pitch Fully managed to our existing customer base via leads through calls, emails, and social media
  • You will identify business opportunities and schedule meetings for an account executive to further assess a prospect's business and potential for partnership with Telus
  • You will help small and medium businesses realize the potential of Telus business solutions
  • You will set yourself up for a successful career by learning the necessary fundamentals to be a great salesperson, leader, and executive
  • You will be Hungry with high morale EVERY day 
  • You will work from home or in an office – your choice
  • You will exceed KPI objectives
  • You will have a terrific leader that supports you
  • You WILL NOT do quotes or general inside sales rep duties

You are likely in a similar role today, with some or a lot of business development experience. You have knowledge of or experience with some of the items below: 

 

  • A passionate and competitive spirit
  • Highly self-driven sense of motivation with natural sense of urgency 
  • A track record of high achievement - in anything
  • Previous business development experience OR a strong desire to begin a sales career
  • SFDC utilization knowledge is preferred, but not necessary
  • The ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment with peers who challenge you to be better
  • The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals
  • Are naturally curious and passionate
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis
  • Multi-language is an asset
