We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support strategic initiatives within the Payor Solutions team. As a member of this forward-thinking, agile and passionate team you will be a key contributor to a priority program meant to drive growth and innovation for our organization and our customers.

 

In this role, you will understand the big picture and what it takes to get there. You will be responsible for ensuring programs meet the requirements of the business today and in the future. The successful candidate will liaise with stakeholders across the organization from technology to product to operations to understand today’s challenges and work collaboratively to translate challenges into solutions the program can deliver.

 

What you’ll do

 

  • Lead brainstorming sessions and interviews with diverse stakeholders to understand end-to-end processes/systems, contract requirements, limitations of the current state and ideate potential for future state
  • Take ownership of monitoring, analyzing and reporting progress against objectives for ongoing awareness of program successes and challenges
  • Conduct gap analysis between current state and future state with an objective lens and create recommendations to close gaps
  • Complete qualitative analysis including journey mapping and market research to uncover customer needs and identify opportunities
  • Successfully contribute to the launch of robust solutions by identifying cost-benefit analysis, economic modeling and planning and implementation support
  • Contribute to strategy development with a keen awareness business needs and upstream and downstream impacts to influence roadmaps
  • Draft compelling business cases to convey opportunities clearly, concisely and supported by detailed analysis for senior leadership
  • Prepare and present data-driven risk assessments and mitigation plans to leadership for decision-making
  • Maintain a strong understanding of TELUS applications, product and services, organizational delivery capabilities, and TELUS end-to-end processes
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to junior team members within and across group

 

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring

 

  • 7+ years of relevant experience and university degree
  • Experience in healthcare, benefits or digital health industry
  • Strong financial acumen including understanding of general financial principles (i.e. budget management & understanding a P&L) and experience building business cases
  • Curiosity and a passion for analyzing complex problems and negotiating solutions
  • Convey ideas succinctly and with influence both verbal and visually
  • Be independently driven to meet timelines on program deliverables
  • Adaptable, earn trust quickly, and not afraid to drive change
  • Highly efficient in planning, documenting and prioritization
  • Skilled using Google Suite tools

 

Great to haves

 

  • Knowledge of Canadian and US health provider ecosystems
  • Experience supporting creation of new revenue models
  • Bilingualism is an asset
