This is a newly created role on the Smarthome Software Quality Assurance team, within the Connected Home Development and Operations organization. We focus on end to end Quality Assurance of the TELUS Smarthome service, including automation services, video cameras, home security, and energy management.

 

What you'll do:

 

As a Software Quality Assurance Integration Lead you will oversee the integration of various external systems, including OSS/BSS, Mobile App, Web App and App Middleware, and for assisting other teams in integrating these systems with Smarthome platform. This is an opportunity to develop and implement a comprehensive integration strategy for the software QA team, managing the integration of various SmartHome components and modules into a cohesive system, identifying and managing risks associated with system integration, and developing and presenting reports and metrics related to system integration to various stakeholders. Together, we will deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive innovation in the industry.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive integration strategy for the software QA team
  • Manage the integration of various platform components and modules into a cohesive system
  • Assist other teams in integrating external systems with the Smarthome platform
  • Collaborate with developers and QA engineers and vendors to ensure that integration issues are addressed and resolved
  • Assist in the execution of integration test plans and test cases, focusing on the interactions between components or modules
  • Identify and manage risks associated with system integration, including developing risk mitigation plans and strategies
  • Develop and present reports and metrics related to system integration to various stakeholders, including executives, product managers, and development teams
  • Ensure that all components are integrated properly, and that integration processes are well-defined and followed
  • Provide guidance and leadership to the integration team, and ensure that team members have the necessary skills and resources to perform their tasks effectively

 

Qualifications

 

What you bring:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  • An expert in agile development methodology and the end to end integration of systems across multiple environments 
  • Recognized for your background with a variety of technologies and tools including: 
    • AWS technologies such as EC2, S3, Lambda, etc
    • Agile tools,such as Jira, Confluence, GitHub or equivalents
    • Authentication, authorization, identity management
    • OSS/BSS, Mobile App, Web App and App Middleware development
  • Noted for your critical eye and creativity in problem solving, you bring people together to collaborate and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Known for your passion around using data to support decisions and make recommendations based on analysis 
  • With a strong interest in learning, you stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in system integration, and make recommendations for continuous improvement

 

Great to have:

 

  • AWS certifications
  • Experience with a variety of test automation frameworks such as module based testing, library architecture testing, keyword driven testing, hybrid testing, behavior driven development, etc
  • Familiarity with test tools such as Appium, Pytest and Selenium
