We are searching for a talented candidate to join our team in the role of BI Platforms Administrator. Reporting to the Manager – Analytics and Business Intelligence Platforms, the successful candidate will be responsible for administering and managing a number of BI Platforms and supporting teams to achieve their visualization, BI, and reporting use cases. This role will support our evolving DataOps landscape by providing analytics capabilities built upon unified scalable platforms, improved speed to market, and automation.
The successful candidate will work closely with IT and Business groups to achieve business objectives while maintaining reliable and highly efficient BI systems.
What you’ll do
- Accountable for the support and availability of BI platforms and tools (e.g. Tableau)
- Responsible for overall management of systems including installation, configuration, connectivity, patching, compliance, and automation opportunities
- Provide oversight and guidance to offshore teams that support our BI platforms
- Provide guidance to business teams on their Dashboard development efforts
- Work with IT teams and business partners to conduct POCs, reduce user toil, and find opportunities to drive new innovation through data & business intelligence
- Engage our BI Platform user communities fostering an environment of knowledge sharing, innovative solutions, and user driven problem resolution
- Enable the migration of our BI platforms to cloud and support business teams through a period of change
- Build exceptional relationships with peer groups across our IT and business teams
- Identify opportunities for automation and implement CICD reducing toil and manual work
- Implement best in class cloud solutions for BI, leveraging our current partnerships with vendors and our GCP data platform
Qualifications
What you bring
- You have experience in troubleshooting server and/or BI clients (e.g, Tableau Desktop) related issues
- You have diverse backend databases experience e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, BigQuery, Web data connector etc
- You have experience using Version Control Systems (e.g. GitHub) with Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g. Terraform) tools to manage Cloud Infrastructure changes
- You have solid knowledge of Microsoft Windows Servers and their use in deploying production applications
- You have a strong understanding in how to utilize metrics, monitoring, and alerting, for the purpose of maintaining system reliability and content governance
- You understand that system stability drives availability and customer trust
- You understand how to utilize identity management (e.g. LDAP) and authorization (e.g. IAM) to manage platform access
- You have good understanding of DevOps & DataOps principles and tools
- Strong communication and Community-of-Practice management skills
Great-to-haves
- Undergrad in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Science or equivalent
- Relevant Tableau Professional certification
- 3+ years of progressive and relevant work experience managing/administering BI Platforms
- Experience with the data offerings in Google Cloud Platform
