Job Description Summary

Our GMP Manufacturing team is looking for a Process Engineer to work on the design, planning and execution of a variety of projects to support improvements of existing and new GMP facilities and equipment. As a Process Engineer, you will collaborate across departments (Process Development, Facilities, Quality) to assess and propose changes to the GMP facility, including the introduction of new equipment and technologies to support production demands. In this role, you’ll work alongside motivated and intelligent individuals who are passionate about the work they do to support life science research.

Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support the design, specification, commissioning and qualification of the manufacturing facility, equipment, and utilities

  • Support daily production and assist in troubleshooting utilities and equipment

  • Participate in investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions and preventive actions (CAPAs)

  • Write technical reports, equipment specifications and qualification documents

  • Assess alternative equipment/process to improve efficiency, quality and yields

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2 to 4 years of relevant experience

  • Experience with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs) in a regulated industry

  • Excellent understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing, aseptic technologies, manufacturing facilities, utilities and equipment qualification and process validation

  • Must be highly motivated, have excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, be highly independent, and have effective organizational and verbal and written communication skills

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

$68,595.00 - $92,800.00

STEMCELL determines an individual’s pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience, education, job-related skills, and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives, the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company policy. In addition to base salary, STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits, retirement savings, and more.
