As the Association Project Manager, you will report directly to the Executive Director and you will lead the key component-projects related to the production of annual medical/scientific conferences and other initiatives for our non-profit clients. Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the key revenue-generating initiatives of the client, including budget preparation and management

  • Be accountable to the client’s volunteer Board of Directors through the Executive Director and provide guidance and administrative support to key client committees, including scheduling and supporting video conference meetings for international committees, drafting agendas, taking minutes, etc.

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders (sponsors, corporate members, affiliated organizations)

  • Delegate and follow up, as appropriate, with direct reports; provide leadership and support to fellow team members

Knowledge and Qualifications

  • A minimum of three years experience in conference management; organization of multi-day conferences with multiple educational tracks and an exhibit hall, hosting an attendance between 500 to 1,500 participants

  • Post-secondary degree; project management certification or equivalent professional experience

  • Management or administrative experience in a non-profit environment including volunteer management is an asset

  • The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, well-organized, and a self-managing master multi-tasker, thrive in a busy environment, be a supportive and reliable leader and teammate, and have a high professional standard for all deliverables
