As the Senior Cost Accountant, you will report to the Cost Accounting Manager and will be responsible for leading process improvement initiatives, driving financial analytics, and mentoring cost accountants when needed.

Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Partner with Operations to provide meaningful analytics & prepare monthly management reporting documents

• Be a leader in the continuous improvement of cost accounting processes

• Lead preparation of the annual COGS & inventory budget & 6Q Forecast

• Develop reporting insight and drive governance improvements

• Partner with Global Operations to ensure accurate maintenance of Transfer Prices in adherence with policies maintained by tax and trade compliance

Knowledge & Qualifications:

• 5-7 years of accounting and/or audit experience, understanding and application of GAAP (ASPE / IFRS), and previous experience in a manufacturing environment

• Experience with complex ERP systems. SAP and Tableau experience is an asset

• Experience leading, coaching, and providing direct management to a team is considered an asset

• Advanced proficiency using MS Office, specifically Excel including the use of pivot tables and Google Suites

• Detail-oriented with a strong work ethic, good tolerance for ambiguity, and ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
