As a Technical Writer, you would be responsible for preparing and reviewing life science product information in customer-facing materials such as product information sheets (PIS’s), user manuals, and website content. This is a cross-functional and collaborative role that utilizes your scientific background and attention to detail to help our global customers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Create and maintain technical documents by applying clear and concise language to explain complex scientific information

• Complete and deliver PIS’s on time for new product launches and re-launch of changed products

• Ensure that all product information is up-to-date, technically accurate, user friendly, and consistent with other STEMCELL product information

• Work collaboratively with scientists, product managers, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure accuracy of information, and to finalize documentation through the interdepartmental approval processes

• Coordinate with a team of technical writers to peer review and assist with tasks

Knowledge and Qualifications

• BSc with 2-6 years of relevant experience, or MSc with 3-4 years of experience, or PhD in a biological field is required

• Fluent in English with outstanding written and verbal communication skills

• Highly proficient in proofreading and copyediting, ideally with demonstrated experience editing multiple document types from different authors and completing standardized and templated documents

• Knowledge of Adobe programs (e.g. Illustrator, Photoshop, inDesign) is highly desirable, as is familiarity with Microsoft Word and Google Productivity tools

• Experience using databases or performing data entry is an asset, as is any prior usage of product information management systems
