Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support, coach, develop, and evaluate a team of seven compensation professionals

  • Set annual goals for the compensation function and the 1-2 year strategic vision for the function

  • Develop foundational, competitive, and innovative compensation programs that align with STEMCELL’s Total Rewards strategy

  • Design and implement efficient compensation processes and practices to support STEMCELL's ongoing growth and global expansion

  • Seek continuous improvement in all areas of compensation including job leveling, job evaluation, compensation governance, benchmarking, and merit

  • Lead annual compensation cycles for all employee groups

  • Collaborate effectively and communicate clearly with HR functional areas (e.g., HR business partners, HR systems) and other stakeholders across the organization (e.g., senior leaders, managers, finance, payroll)

Knowledge & Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in compensation, with at least 5 years in leading a compensation function

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Human Resources, or related field; CCP designation an asset

  • Strong knowledge of compensation and human resources practices, processes, and standards

  • Excellent logical, data-based, and analytical aptitude

  • Experience with global compensation and sales incentive design is an asset
