Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the primary point of contact for devices, taking responsibility for deliverables related to pre-market activities within initial design and development
Collaborate with regional regulatory bodies and third party representatives to ensure compliance and successful market approvals
Contribute to the design and development of medical devices and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) products through activities such as risk management, compliance to applicable standards, developing product and user requirements, and implementing processes compliant with regulatory requirements
Compile regulatory submissions for the US, EU, Canada, and other regions, with 5-7 years of pre-market device experience
Work with electromechanical devices, balancing compliance requirements with business needs
Knowledge and Qualifications
A minimum of one year managing a team in a Regulatory or Quality team
At least 5 years of pre-market experience, where working with novel devices is an asset
Previous experience contributing to the design and development of a medical device or IVD product
Familiarity with regulatory compliance in the Asian market, with a preference for medical device expertise
Relevant regulatory certifications such as RAPS, RAC, or ASQ certification would be an asset
