Role and Responsibilities

Position Overview:

The District Sales Manager will oversee the implementation of all sales programs, product training, and pricing with dealer partners, local designers, and builders. This person will be responsible for sales within this region and directing the overall strategy with their Customers. This person will be responsible for the growth, success, and development of their key accounts. The West, So Cal, Region represents critical volume expectation for the Dacor business, focusing on growth, developing new customers, growing the Dacor name, profitability, and strong partnership.

This position reports to the Senior Manager, Dacor Regional Sales within SEA. Responsible for directing the customer account management and support and nurture customer relationships. Set and achieve customer-specific targets and other mutually established metrics with Senior Manager, Sales. The West region has strategic growth customers and encompasses some of Dacor’s most valued customers with extreme potential due their sales mix and projected store growth.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Accountable for achieving current annual sales targets while positioning the business for continued growth in future years.

  • Review products, and programs with new builders, multi-family contacts, design centers and interior designers

  • Develops an in-depth knowledge and expertise with regard to all builders, residential architects, kitchen designers, and interior designers within assigned market.

  • Identifying business opportunities for distributor sales people and work with them to develop business relationships and close contracts.

  • Maintain an up-to-date sales call plan with objectives and document all communications and committed to actions to distributor personnel and AM follow through.

Skills and Qualifications

Background/Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred in related field

  • minimum of 6 years of directly related experience required

  • Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite; Advanced Excel and Power Point skills required.

  • Proven ability to successfully develop and own a customer relationship and account management process

  • Strong track record of building collaborative relationships with internal peer groups and external customers and partners

  • Executive presence and experience to leverage resources based on both influence and authority

  • Proven contract negotiation and sales experience

  • Ability to identify service and support risks

  • Must have demonstrated project and program management skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Highly motivated and self-driven

  • Strong process oriented thinker

  • Organized, detailed, goal driven, and achievement oriented

  • Able to critically evaluate and question data and plans

  • Able to think strategically and tactically

  • Comfortable with a highly dynamic and changing work environment

  • Competitive, strong desire to “win”

  • Ability to build strong work relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Must live in Southern California area to be within territory

  • Travel up to 50%

The salary range for this role will vary among specific regions due to geographic differentials in the labor market, and actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role. However, the salary ranges in the following regions are expected to be as follows:

  • California: $137,500 to $155,000
