The incumbent is accountable for ensuring the success of the Home Electronics (HE) business across Samsung Canada (SECA). The successful candidate is highly focused on executing and ensuring that others execute to deliver category success. Understanding both channel requirements and internal requirements, the incumbent will own the strategy, report internally, and enable account teams to deliver externally with success!

Individual must love the planning process and possess the skills necessary to add value to leaders across the business including account management, product management (PM) and Operations. Individual is responsible for HE revenue and other mandated KPIs and ensure the delivery with both a management and sales lens. Create and support the tools, programs and investments necessary to expand into new opportunities and maximize business with existing channels.

Individual will have at least one direct report and will be a dotted line leader in a matrix organization to ensure HE success.

Role and Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Own the Channel & Revenue (and other corporate KPIs) Strategy for HE Business
  • Work Directly with Account Leadership to enable the execution of that strategy
  • Work Directly with PM to ensure the channel requirements are met in order to execute the Revenue Strategy
  • Work Directly with Operations to ensure proper execution, including forecasting, gap closing, and supply-chain management of the HE Business
  • Lead across the organization and with at least 1 direct report to ensure that all tools to support strong selling are delivered
  • Deliver the revenue plan and reporting on a regular basis to leadership at SECA, HQ regularly and as required
  • In conjunction with Account Leads plan business and promotional tactics with external customers
  • Accountable for the HE Revenue Number Across SECA
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and business relationships which result in increased revenue and profitability
  • Identify and direct the most effective application of SECA sales activities in cooperation with available product marketing and product development resources to achieve the defined sales objectives
  • Manage channel conflict
  • Support the overall HE Planning Process from a channel lens. Drive better reporting, presentation, & analysis. Optimize internal and external story telling

Skills and Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree an asset

Knowledge:

  • Strong Story Telling/Presentation
  • Understand how to marry external channel requirements and internal objectives for a win/win
  • Strong knowledge of HE products and competitors
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint,

Experience:

  • Minimum 7 years industry experience preferred
  • Must be highly self-motivated and capable of self-directed work given only broad objectives and limited direct suspension
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Must be capable of planning, organizing and prioritizing multiple projects and assignments
  • Must be capable of managing a direct report; people management experience preferred
