The role of the Manager, Value Performance (Connected Home - TV, Internet, Home Phone, Smart Home Monitoring) reports to the Sr. Manager, Value Management Connected Home Customer Base Marketing team. We’re looking for someone who is self-starting innovative thinker and isn’t afraid to challenge the norm, has a keen interest and strength in understanding the consumer and action on missed opportunities.

This role will entail managing/optimizing targeted programs, analyze and report on revenue performance for the cable business. This is a critical role with responsibilities ranging from operational execution, delivering quarterly objectives, influencing and presenting to senior leaders. The role will also develop strategic targeted programs to drive results with focus on current trends in household/product mixes, migration patterns, acquisition value, churn value, etc. 

 

What will you be doing:

  • Drive insights and advanced analytics, leveraging vast datasets and models for decision making on commercial strategy initiatives to identify opportunities

  • Lead and coordinate projects/initiatives to conceptualize, plan, develop and implement strategies, programs and performance management frameworks

  • Execute performance analysis by segment and clearly identify opportunities and risk mitigation plans

  • Ensure commercially driven programs are meeting the plan of record by developing roadmaps, relevant dashboards and recommending course of action where required

  • Work with other cross-functional primes/counterparts in other areas of the organization to ensure alignment on plans

  • Identify trends (or changes to trends) on key revenue drivers that present opportunity or risk to Residential revenue performance and highlight/present to key stakeholders (including senior leaders)

  • Work with and incorporate the input of channels, client experience, loyalty and other stakeholder teams to identify and evaluate new strategies

  •  

What you bring to the role:

  • Must have 3 – 5 years of experience in telecom or relevant industry, preferably cable

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Mathematics or Computer Science, MBA desirable

  • Demonstrates a vast understanding of analytical processes and tools with proficiency in SAS and/or SQL to develop code and validate/QA results is a must

  • A passion for data, analytics and fact based story telling

  • Ability to make business recommendations that will drive the development of products and services to meet consumer needs, as well as profitability targets

  • Self-starter with proven ability to take complete “closed-loop” ownership & accountability of projects, demonstrating flexible thinking

  • Effective planning and monitoring skills required for execution and follow-up on programs in a multi-tasking environment.

  • Superior written & verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels across the organization.

  • Manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously, with a focus on quality and detail

  • Solid relationship building and influencing skills with a proven ability to work within a team environment
