Job Description:
The MRP Planner is responsible for managing the supply of critical components for Redlen’s business as well as the accuracy and currency of all product Bill of Materials. This includes maintaining a delivery schedule for key components, liaising with external suppliers to translate internal demand into supplier delivery schedules, following up on orders, placing purchase requisitions, and tracking WIP, yields and inventory levels in the supply chain.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Raw Material Inventory-level Management
- Maintain and manage Bill of Materials forkey products
- Monitor changes in forecasted demand
- Issue purchase requisitions
- Coordinate incoming material inspections with QA and Stores team
- Monitor inspection results and yields
- Coordinate material replacements with QA and Purchasing
Experience:
- At least 4 years’ experience in a comparable work environment
- Experience with planning and scheduling is required
- Experience with inventory and supply chain management is desirable
- Experience working with an ERP system is required
- Experience with Syspro is desirable
Skills / Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Background in ERP transactions (inventory management, stock movements, GRNs)
- Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and spreadsheets to track production data and inventories
- Familiarity with scheduling practices
- Good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Demonstrate positive attitude and self-motivation
- Excellent organizational skills
Education:
College diploma in a relevant field
