Change Management and Communications Lead - FESR Project - Lower Mainland Transcriptions Services

Reporting to the Lower Mainland Health Information Management (LMHIM) Project Director and the Regional Director, Transcription Services & HIE, the Change Management & Communications Lead plans, develops and delivers the change management and communications activities that are required for the successful deployment of front end speech recognition in advance of the Clinical Systems Transformation (CST) project. Ensures that all change management and communication initiatives support the mission, visions, values and strategic directions of LM-HIM and PHC, as well as strengthen our relationships with the communities that we serve.
This is a Temporary Full Time role until October 2024.
Qualifications / Skills and Education
Education, Training and Experience
Completion of a university degree plus three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in organizational change management, training and communications, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with clinician engagement is an asset.
Valid BC Driver’s License and access to personal vehicle for business related purposes.
Skills and Abilities
•Ability to develop and build effective working relationships with clinicians (physicians, nurse practitioners, midwives, and allied health), communications representatives, and other project stakeholders within the Lower Mainland health organizations.
•Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications including Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
•Effective communication skills including written, verbal, critical and strategic.
•Effective interpersonal skills to deal with others at all levels of the four organizations, as well as external contacts.
•Familiarity with media and media relations.
•Independent initiative, sound judgment and well developed decision–making abilities.
•Effective organizational and project management and time management skills including the ability to work to deadlines
•Ability to work independently and as part of team.
•Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Physician Adoption
•Serves as primary lead on physician adoption for the project supporting the sites as needed on communications, engagement, training and metrics to increase FESR adoption.
•Supports the project team on initiatives to increase FESR adoption.
•Actively seeks to identify and mitigate end-user adoption risks.
•Liaises with other CST teams to ensure FESR training and communications are integrated in the most effective and efficient way.
2.Education
•Works with FESR education specialists and CST provider training and adoption leads to optimize the FESR training curriculum and training processes.
•Maintains the FESR training offerings in the learning hub where providers can self-register for FESR training.
•Works closely with the project team on identifying training requirements for each site deployment, and coordinating training schedules/room bookings/site visits etc.
3.Change Management and Communications
•Integral in drafting the change management and communications plan with the project manager.
•Works collaboratively with project team/project lead(s) to integrate change management activities and project management activities.
•Ensure the project intranet site and knowledge management tools are maintained for accuracy and quality on an ongoing basis.
•Develop communications and engagement materials (e.g., presentations, memos, posters) to support the FESR implementation.
•Fosters and facilitates relationship building, networking, and collective development to advance shared priorities across all stakeholder groups.
•Serves as primary liaison with CST and site change management, communications and provider adoption personnel to develop integrated change management and communications activities.
4.Performs other related duties as assigned. Must be able to flex with the priorities of the project.

As per the current Public Health Orders (Long Term Care/Seniors Assisted Living Provincial Health Order and the Health Sector Order), as of October 26, 2021, all employees working for Providence Health Care must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination status will be required.
