Role

The Director of Partnerships works directly with the CEO to develop effective relationships with new and existing industry partners, for both Canada and the US.

The role specifically focuses on securing key objectives including engineering talent and internship placements, philanthropy opportunities, industry technology partnerships and corporate learning and development collaboration engagements. The Director is responsible for the cultivation and growth of a portfolio of company and institutional relationships in North America.

In addition, they contribute to guiding OpenTree Education's career development strategy and career placement targets for program graduates. To meet these responsibilities, the Director actively collaborates with the OpenTree Education leadership and mentor/student teams.

The Director of Partnerships

… has 5+ years work experience in private sector or higher education. Existing relationships with employers are considered assets; experience in supporting students to secure career placement is preferred.

... has a proven track record in business development, fundraising, strategic relationship management and/or strategic planning.

… has an appreciation of, and insight into, industry growth trends and workforce development needs, and is motivated to make education options more accessible and inclusive.
