Position Summary: 
 
We are seeking a Digital Marketing & Communications Co-op Student to join our team for an 8-month placement. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting our communications and marketing efforts by assisting with digital marketing initiatives, content creation, and social media management. The ideal candidate will be a 3rd or 4th-year university student with a passion for digital marketing.

Work Environment: 
  • Work remotely in collaboration with the team on implementing the communications strategy 
  • Meet in-person at Nano One’s downtown Vancouver offices approximately once a month (for candidates who live locally)
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Provide design support for internal communications requests  
  • Weekly maintenance of the content calendar, asset folder, and online platforms 
  • Using Adobe Creative Suites and Office 365 templates to create content 
  • Updating template files to implement changes requested by staff 
  • Manage social media channels by scheduling posts and analyzing performance 
  • Support the administration and operation of the Communications programs 
 
Qualifications: 
  • 3rd or 4th year student in a post-secondary Business program, preferably with a major in Marketing, Communications, or equivalent 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with social media platforms, including LinkedIn and Twitter 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Familiarity with website content management systems 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other digital marketing tools would be an asset
  • Fluency in French would be an asset.
