Position Summary:
Currently, we are looking for a Research Scientist Co-Op to join the Research and Development Team. Working with our team, you will get the opportunity to be a part of our sustainable technology that focuses on the reduction of waste and improving the performance of lithium battery cathode materials.
What We’ll Provide You:
  • Wet chemical synthesis and analysis (XRD, etc.) of lithium battery cathode materials
  • Interpretation and reporting on results from various analytical techniques
  • Establishing process/structure/function relationships as they relate to the commercialization of Nano One’s technology
  • Characterization and optimization of the performance of materials and processing equipment towards the design, fabrication and commissioning of bench and pilot scale production equipment
  • You will be fully integrated into our current team and will be conducting data analysis, as well as be directly involved in discussion, report writing and presenting within the Nano One research environment
 
What You’ll Bring:
  • A third or final year student pursuing any of the following degrees: chemistry, materials engineering, chemical engineering, and materials science
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory apparatus and analytical equipment
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
  • An interest in learning about lithium-ion battery technology
