about the team:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Operations Accounting, the Senior Manager, Operations Accounting provides leadership to their team, taking responsibility for the management, accounting, and/or review of all indirect accruals, assorted prepaids, various provisions, and SG&A expenses Globally. You have a desire for continuous improvement and contributing to the success of the company. You enjoy working as part of a team environment.
a day in the life:
  • Manage a team of 2 who are responsible for the accurate accounting treatment of all indirect accruals, assorted prepaids, various provisions, and SG&A expenses globally. 
  • Responsible for complex technical accounting decisions within area of scope.
  • Work cross functionally with our business partners throughout our operating countries by ensuring appropriate accounting of accruals, prepaids, provisions, and SG&A expenses.
  • Review various monthly reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Assist in the month-end close process by performing budget to actual and trend analysis, responding to month-end queries from management team, and more.
  • Liaise with internal and external auditors and manage their requests and queries.  Manage annual 401K audit.  
  • Partner with corporate IT functions to develop, implement, and manage projects that support the Operations Accounting team. 
  • Ensure the continuation of a strong control environment by ensuring strong internal controls and completion and review of SOX controls.
  • Work on ad hoc continuous improvement projects within the Operations Accounting scope.

qualifications:
  • CPA designation and at least 5 years of post-qualification experience including experience in a manager role.
  • Experience working for or with multi-jurisdictional companies.
  • Proficient in IFRS and/or US GAAP framework. 
  • Detail oriented. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to communicate effectively and propose recommendations to different levels of management, cross-functional teams, and external auditors.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with demonstrated abilities to motivate, coach and mentor a team.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS or other large accounting software package is an asset
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office with strong skills in Excel.

Your role is classified as Hybrid under our global SSC Workplace Policy.
In person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.
Authorization to work in Canada is required for this role. 
Compensation and Benefits Package 
lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from  $125,800 – $165,200 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
