About this role
- Lead QA spokesperson on Large Initiative Projects with cross Functional Teams.
- Develop and manage Test strategy for Strategic projects by present it to all the key stakeholders and 3rd party integration Teams involved across the initiative. Test strategy should cover, not limited to Project Background, Architecture Diagram, Cross-functional Dependencies, Scope, E2E/Integration Test RACI, Test Data, Test Schedule, Defect workflow & SLA, Entry & Exit Criteria, Assumptions & Risks, Sign Off Process & Team matrix
- QA Delivery ownership for such Initiatives from Test Plan to Test Closure.
- Manage QA Engineers across Funnels and Cross Functional Teams to deliver the Test Strategy laid out
- Represent and Lead from QA team for Agile ceremonies Team Demo’s, Retro’s and Sprint Planning Meetings Etc.
- Ensure communication occurs with all key stakeholders when sprint status deviates due to roadblocks, Defects and call-outs if any.
- Sprint/Project Release sign-off ownership from QA with Test results.
- Contribute to Sprint/Project planning by ensuring QA capacity is utilized appropriately according to the Business/Tech priorities.
- Send Daily status reports/Sprint closure report to all stake holders during the Sprint.
- Contribute effectively to the Sprint/Project Retro. Adequate preparation towards the same including - details of successes, areas of improvement, lessons learnt, best practices implemented, etc.
- Work with Product Manager/Owner and Sr. Developers/ Tech Leads on understanding requirements associated with a particular strategic initiative or EPIC.
- Capture, track and coordinate dependencies with cross funnel QA’s in advance of sprints actual start by ensuring necessary Test data and environment is ready for their scope of validations.
- Setting up meetings with third parties as required to ensure the work is progressing in such a way as to meet overall EPIC or QA Test timelines.
- Facilitate Defect/Bug triage with cross teams when any blockers are open and escalated as appropriate to keep the work progressing.
- Ensuring entry, exit criteria, Defect Prioritization and SLA’s with 3rd party Teams are aligned and met accordingly.
- Manage unplanned work , ensuring Intake processes are followed as appropriate. Work with the QA Manager, Scrum master and Product Manager, ensuring capacity replan and communication is updated.
- Ensure a continual process improvement exists within the team to ensure Quality is adhered during testing and validation processes.
- Review Initial Business ‘EPIC’ requirements as part of pre planning and carry out detailed analysis in order to understand solution requirements, dependencies and risks
- Ensure all funnel and cross funnel specific quarterly planning activities are handled, estimated and finalized their plans during the QPR cycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or similar.
- 10+ years of experience in QA
- 5+ years of experience as QA lead
- 5+ years of experience in quality tools.
- Experience assessing risk for determining appropriate levels of testing.
- Experience with JIRA for project management and defect tracking.
- Experience leading ambiguous situations, dealing with IT issues and coming up with effective solutions to ensure project deliverables on time and within budget.
- Experience with a variety of test tools and software testing practices, including developing, implementing, maintaining and managing manual/automated testing systems and environments.
- Experience assessing risk for determining appropriate levels of testing.
