The Product Innovation team infuses the lululemon apparel business with new ideas, new understanding, new technologies, & new products. With a diverse and passionate team of innovators, our leading human and material research infrastructure, and the pioneering Science of Feel innovation philosophy, the Product Innovation team ensures that lululemon remains at the forefront of the sport, exercise, and lifestyle apparel industry. We need you to lead a diverse portfolio of projects, develop your team, inspire the business, and ensure the delivery of a continuous stream of innovative concepts.

A day in the life:

With your proven research leadership skills, you consistently improve standards, provide clear direction, and ensure career development opportunities to your team, fostering a creative and thriving innovation environment.

Leading a group of researchers across a diverse portfolio of innovation projects, you employ various tactics and strategies to ensure project timelines are met, budgets are optimized, cross-functional partners are supported, and the highest quality research is delivered.

As an applied scientist and innovator, you excel in thinking 'outside the box' and feel at ease delving into the details, challenging and enhancing research across different scientific domains.

You amplify the impact of Advanced Concepts by engaging diverse audiences through powerful storytelling and collaborating cross-functionally with initiative, empathy, and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• You have a graduate degree (PhD preferred) in sports technology or related fields (e.g. kinesiology, biomechanics, engineering)

• You have 7+ years of relevant work experience, with clear evidence of transitioning research & innovation concepts into mainline businesses.

• You have 3+ years of management experience, with demonstrated success in people development.

• Demonstrated capacity to collaborate effectively & successfully deliver multiple, concurrent, cross-functional, multi-year innovation projects

• Demonstrated ability in developing strategic visions & effectively implementing various tactics to achieve successful innovation outcomes.

• You are curious, a great communicator, & are passionate about industry research & innovation.
