\nKardium has a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market: The Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
\nThe Manufacturing Manager will be part of the Manufacturing & Supply Chain team. Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
\nWhat you’ll be doing
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n• Responsible for management and performance of one or more production lines
• Review production line metrics with supervisors and define strategies to correct deviations and excursions
• Engage with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to make recommendations and implement changes to improve overall manufacturing performance
• Coordinate with the Continuous Improvement team to identify, define and implement 5S and other continuous improvement programs
• Assist Quality Engineering with nonconformance reviews and root cause investigations and recommend potential corrective actions
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to continuously monitor manufacturing floor layout, optimize line balancing and maximize capacity and throughput
• Coordinate with the Equipment Team to schedule equipment maintenance and minimize downtime
• Coach and mentor production supervisors and support advancement of technical abilities and career growth
• Ensure that the team is employing good manufacturing practices in all activities
• Manage and guide performance and compensation reviews for supervisors and manufacturing staff
• Review long term supply forecasts and work with supervisors to identify line constraints and resource requirements
• Drive a culture of safety and ensure health and safety requirements are implemented and followed by all manufacturing staff
• Engage with the training center to ensure training programs are reflective of manufacturing processes and needs
• Provide leadership and participate in engineering changes and technology transfer implementations
• Coordinate with Planning and Manufacturing Engineering to define the optimal schedule for cut in of engineering change orders
• Provide recommendations for design for manufacture and product cost reduction initiatives

\nYou are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
\n • B.Sc. BASc or BEng or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing management experience demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
• Manufacturing experience in a highly regulated industry (aerospace, medical devices) preferred
• Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
• Proven experience guiding or driving implementation of continuous improvement programs
• Understanding of BC Occupational Health and Safety regulations an asset
• Flexible and wiling to take on additional responsibilities as assigned
