\nKardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced Team Lead - Electrical Manufacturing Engineering. As a member of Manufacturing Engineering & Continuous Improvement team, the Team Lead Electrical Manufacturing Engineering will be responsible for managing all activities related to the transfer of product designs and manufacturing processes into production, collaborating with Quality Engineering on root cause analysis and resolution of nonconformances, and leading the effort to optimize manufacturing process and equipment throughput to provide the most overall cost-effective manufacturing solutions. The Team Lead will be responsible for products produced in EME (Electro-Mechanical Engineering) and electrical processes in the cleanroom.
\nPlease note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
\nWhat you’ll be doing
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Responsible for design transfer, identification of manufacturing challenges and solutions, and process and equipment optimization \n
- In collaboration with Manufacturing Management drive manufacturing engineering strategy to meet corporate targets \n
- Lead a cross functional group that identifies manufacturing challenges and proposes effective solutions based on detailed investigation \n
- Collaborate with Manufacturing and Equipment/Facility teams to continuously monitor manufacturing floor layout, optimize line balancing and maximize capacity and throughput. Own execution of new layouts, changes and improvements for responsible area. \n
- Manage design, fabrication and implementation of production equipment \n
- Lead or participate in product design-for-manufacture reviews with design engineering \n
- Maintain and contribute to manufacturing documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI) and manufacturing process plans/template \n
- Establish and maintain suitable KPIs to track the performance of the manufacturing engineering team and change management process \n

\nYou are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
\n- \n
- Minimum undergraduate degree in an engineering or appropriate scientific discipline \n
- At least 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering or continuous improvement management role, preferably in an ISO 13485 manufacturing environment \n
- Proven project management experience driving manufacturing improvement programs from inception through implementation \n
- Worked closely with Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain and Quality Assurance team in previous roles \n
- Knowledge and experience with FDA cGMP regulations preferred \n
- Able to teach and mentor staff in areas of manufacturing engineering and/or lean manufacturing \n
- Flexible and adaptable to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate \n
