Kardium is developing a ground breaking medical device for the minimally-invasive diagnosis and treatment of atrial fibrillation, a heart condition that can cause strokes, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.
\nKardium has a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market: The Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
\nThe Facility Engineer is responsible for overseeing the operations of plant and facilities equipment, while providing focused engineering support for renovations, facility upgrades, retrofits, modernizations, and repairs.
\nPlease note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
\nWhat you’ll be doing
\nYour responsibilities will include:
\n- \n
- Managing and supporting the installation, maintenance and repair of the infrastructure directly supporting operations \n
- Overseeing the maintenance, operations and adjustments on facility EQT Maintenance (compressor, HVAC, cleanroom, generator, chillers, etc.) \n
- Manage facilities related documentation which may include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), forms, Work Instructions, Qualification reports etc. \n
- Perform general facilities optimization and upgrades \n
- Monitoring and trouble shooting of facilities systems \n
- Coordination and documentation of facilities certification and cleaning \n
- Coordination of contractor management \n
- Conduct air balance adjustments, water monitoring, non-viable sampling and viable sampling \n

\nYou are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
\n- \n
- BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing or similar) with 3+ years of experience \n
- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project etc.) \n
- Working knowledge of EPA and DEM regulations \n
- Must have preventative maintenance experience \n
- Experience with building management systems controls (i.e. air, water, gas, boiler, etc.) \n
- Ability to respond to facility operational issues that arise \n
- Ability to respond and manage critical situations in a timely manner \n
