Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Data Developer, you will collaborate closely with stakeholders across IBM to deliver insights and automation through data to activate IBM teams around the world. On any given day you can expect to work on a wide variety of task that sharpen your problem-solving abilities, enhance your communications skills, and deliver immediate impact to IBMers and clients alike.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Analyze large datasets to segment accounts, deep-dive into their spend, pinpoint what and how to up-sell & cross-sell, benchmark and improve upon the prospecting and pipeline metrics, e.g., lead progression through the pipeline.
  • Engage every day with your Corporate Strategy team-mates to understand their requirements, the requirements of clients, and the real-world constraints.
  • Develop actionable insights and create recommendations on how to improve the approach.
  • Partner and collaborate closely with the Datawarehouse team, Client Success and Software Adoption team, IBM Sales Cloud, IBM’s Chief Analytics Office, and the EPM Team.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers and leaders across IBM.
  • Environment:
  • Data integration, business intelligence and data analysis tools
  • In-depth understanding of DW implementation and application development best practices
  • In-depth understanding of RDBMS applications as well as relational & dimensional data modeling practices and where best utilized
  • In-depth understanding of data integration best practices, leading industry applications & features such as master data management, entity resolution, data quality assessment, metadata management
  • Documentation of data relations, ability to organize and prioritize tasks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Hands-on experience in projects with large complex datasets: ETL operations, data warehousing approaches, SQL, data governance.
  • Proven Technical Experience in translating requirements to architectures: Demonstrated track record of understanding requirements, clarifying needs, and translating needs into robust architectures.
  • Strong data governance background.
  • Effective communication and relationship building.
  • Articulate and assertive with client interactions.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Configuring, deploying, and designing on the Gainsight platform (Reports, Dashboards, widgets, Rules, CTAs, Journey Orchestrations, Health Scores)
  • Experience creating high volume objects, low volume objects, data designers, building rules etc.)
  • Salesforce Integration.
  • Facile with modelling and programming in Microsoft Excel, and potentially IBM Cognos, Tableau.
  • Domain knowledge of IBM business processes/organization/key customer defining attributes.
