Your Role and Responsibilities
The IT Storage Specialist profession supports solutions, implementation and systems integration in the technology, industry or business product groups they support.
They are proficient in their support working with requirements, design, implementation, projects and engagements.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
In this role the I/T Storage Specialist is expected to provide technical support on the contracted / assigned systems which can include the diagnosis and resolution of problems unresolved through normal methods designed into the RAS (Reliability-Availability- Serviceability) philosophy, problem determination, problem management and training to clients and field technicians.
As the Subject Matter Expert (SME) they are required to maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of the systems environment including hardware, software and network concepts, changing or new service requirements and provide information and advice for the development of business responses.

I/T Storage Specialists do not work alone and are a part of a broader team composed of IBM Technology Lifecycle Services (TLS) Delivery and Sales members that deliver best in class solutions and services to their clients.
