Your Role and Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this role will be to lead the Federal CAS Rates team, providing strategic recommendations to the Federal Division Leadership to optimize the Federal Rates and structure. This role will provide day to day direction to Rates Analysts, manage indirect budgets and spend, ensure compliance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), support other supplemental regulations compliance reviews, the annual risk review and self-assessment compliance programs. Additional duties include participating in compliance councils and assisting with process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Federal Rates Leadership and Strategy
• Review current Segment and Rates structures for optimization.
• Advise CFO and leadership team on rates strategies.
• Manage indirect budgets and spend
• Lead a team of rates analysts.
• Work with Systems teams to implement updates.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance with material Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Disclosure Statements, and established cost accounting practices.
• Support the DFAR Business System internal audits.
• Assist with the performance of the annual risk and self-assessment programs.
• Proactively follow-up and track identified findings from compliance programs, internal audit, and U.S. government audits.
• Participate in various meetings with Federal Compliance Officer.
• Participate and support audits conducted by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) teams, external auditors, and consultants.
• Share best practices and lessons learned.
• Prepare metrics to measure business compliance effectiveness.
• Support health check activities including plan status and results achieved
• Participate in department meetings and events.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

• Demonstrated rates development in a multi segment environment.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of FAR, DFARS and CAS regulations.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contracts


Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance with 3+ years of related experience OR other business degree with 5+ years of related experience
