Detail Responsibilities

  • Lead SYSADMIN scrum calls
  • User administration (setup and maintaining account)
  • Adding, removing or updating user information such as logins and passwords
  • Managing the configuration of the server
  • Maintaining system.
  • Verify that peripherals are working properly.
  • Monitor system performance.
  • Create file systems.
  • System health monitoring.
  • Backup & disaster recovery.
  • Create a backup and recover policy.
  • Ensuring the integrity of data storage and backup systems
  • Install software.
  • Application compatibility reviews.
  • Web service administration & configurations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation about current environment setup, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Anticipating potential problems and taking action to solve them before they impact users when possible
  • Anticipate, mitigate, identify, troubleshoot, and correct hardware and software issues on servers, and workstations. Escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Responding immediately to usability concerns
  • Reviewing application logs
  • Troubleshoots, reviews and resolves blocked websites; performs a variety of duties related to filter management.
  • Manages, deploys, configures, and maintains servers in a virtualized environment.
  • Assists in creating scripts to monitor systems, diagnostics, resolve issues, and automate routine tasks.
  • Provides support for device management including application packaging and deployment.
  • Evaluates systems and alternate solutions; develops functional specifications, standards, and requirements for hardware and software purchase and design to ensure optimum system and end user performance; makes recommendations for changes and additional services.
  • Assist with the maintenance and troubleshooting of complex network and server issues.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
  • Keep current with technology changes and learn new computer applications.
  • Work in a virtualized environment and manage computers remotely.
  • Understand and carry out oral and written instructions

  • Resource utilization and performance report generation.

  • IWS monitoring and managing e.g. Reset/Plan
  • IWS Support e.g creating jobs/job streams and job failures.
  • Managing and configuring system monitoring tools w.g Paher-Duty
  • Manage IWS setup, configuration and security and job setup.
  • Manage IWS jobs and scheduling.
  • Manage CMOD setup, configuration and security.
  • Manage VPSX setup, configuration and security.
  • Manage SSANAME3 setup and configuration.
  • Submit access requests for project staff:
  • Creation of GOA accounts
  • Creation of .z accounts
  • Creation of VDI
  • Removal of VDI
  • Renewal of .z accounts
  • Termination of accounts
  • Access Requests.
  • Software Requests
  • Maintain Licence Keys and assign keys.

Must be located in Calgary or willing to relocate to Calgary

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
We are seeking a Techno-Functional D365 F&O support lead to support our end client in the maintenance and enhancement of their D365 platform. The successful candidate will report to a Delivery Project Executive who will assist in the transition to operations and day-to-day coordination including the expansion of team capabilities as demand requires.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES and Required Skills:

  • Must be able to show good knowledge of practices for Dynamics 365. In particular, deep technical knowledge of all core Finance & Operations concepts and processes including, Enterprise Structures, GL, AP, AR and reporting.
  • Provide support and undertake administrative level activities in D365.
  • Take action to correct issues which may include data correction, partnering with end users, or working with others in IT.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot, resolve and document errors.
  • Strong understanding of system integrations required for a large retailer.
  • Make recommendations for process or systemic changes which will negate future issues.
  • Engage closely with the D365 Global team and client stakeholders to test and promote solutions from development environments to production environments.
  • Define clear and expansive user test cases and testing scenarios for validating standard and custom solutions prior to implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of X++ and C# for customization
  • Having good knowledge for technical solution design and best practices
  • Guiding team for development of custom form, workflow, reports and process customization
  • Interface integration through data entity, SOAP and REST based custom services
  • Experience in custom reporting through SSRS and PowerBI
  • Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations Azure hosting /on premise environment management
  • Experience in working in an Agile team and familiarity with Agile ceremonies.

Additional Success factors:

  • Expertise in F&O and Retail domains within D365 is required to succeed in this role.
  • Knowledge of D365 table structure, Power BI and SQL server is a plus.
  • Experience with coordinating and monitoring batch job schedules as well as monitoring the D365 activity/performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to effectively adjust priorities as needed.
  • Strong professional communication (both verbal and non-verbal) and interpersonal skills necessary to express ideas and influence others appropriately.
  • Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of individuals and groups at all levels in a constructive and collaborative manner.
  • Customer service and results oriented.
  • Knowledge of the Retail industry is strongly desired

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
