Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. We are currently looking for a Field Heavy Duty Mechanic who will be responsible for servicing and maintaining a very wide range of Caterpillar and general line equipment in Williams Lake.

Job Description:

  • Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar general line equipment
  • Perform a wide variety of equipment repair diagnostics
  • Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
  • Complete technician documents (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
  • Interact with customers, sales support and the rest of the Finning team
  • Work with the Service Supervisor and Leadhand on various tasks as required

Qualifications:

  • Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
  • Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
  • Completion of Caterpillar product courses would be considered an asset
  • Previous repair and troubleshooting experience with Caterpillar general line products would be considered an asset

Notes:

  • This position is located at our Finning Williams Lake branch based on a 5x2 and other shifts
  • Any future shift changes will be made in accordance with the collective agreement
  • A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
  • Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
