Job Description:
- Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
- Perform diagnosis and running repairs
- Provide technical expertise for both the field and shop operations
- Provide safety leadership in accordance with on-site safety requirements
- Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
- Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
- Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
- Work with the Supervisor and other technicians on various tasks
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Qualifications
- Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
- Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
- Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
- Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
- Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Caterpillar heavy equipment experience preferred
Note:
- This position is located at our new Finning Kamloops facility on a 7x7 continuous shift
- All shift changes will be in accordance with the collective agreement
- Hourly rate: $49.52 / hour (plus allowances and premiums)
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
