Job Description:

• Troubleshoot and repair Caterpillar equipment
• Perform diagnosis and running repairs
• Provide technical expertise for both the field and shop operations
• Provide safety leadership in accordance with on-site safety requirements
• Utilize Caterpillar SIS and ET daily
• Complete technical documentation (service reports, warranty, crossover notes)
• Interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning team
• Work with the Supervisor and other technicians on various tasks
• Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment

Qualifications

• Interprovincial Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) Certification
• Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
• Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
• Previous gas engine and power generation experience would be considered an asset
• Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
• Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
• Caterpillar heavy equipment experience preferred

Note:

• This position is located at our new Finning Kamloops facility on a 7x7 continuous shift
• All shift changes will be in accordance with the collective agreement
• Hourly rate: $49.52 / hour (plus allowances and premiums)
• A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
