Position Overview:

Finning Canada is seeking a Yard Person to join our team supporting our client in Mildred Lake on a 14 x 14 Continuous Shift Rotation. As the Yard Person you are responsible for assisting with the day to day yard duties for the Branch.

The successful candidate will follow approved shipping and receiving protocols to safely load/unload customer parts and components and accurately handle incoming and outgoing paperwork.

Job Description:

• Accurately handle all incoming and outgoing paperwork

• Follow approved shipping and receiving protocol

• Load and unload customer parts and component

• Maintain yard organization, cleanliness, laydown maintenance, update laydown log board

• Support routine building and yard maintenance

• Receive incoming components with RF gun

**Hours and shift schedule may be subject to change to meet customer and/or Finning (Canada) requirements. Please note that any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the current Collective Agreement**

Qualifications:

• High School graduate

• Due to physical nature of the work, a requirement of the job is to be considered fit for work

• Minimum three months of operating experience of rough terrain forklift, counterbalance forklift, compact construction equipment, large construction equipment

• Previous heavy equipment operation experience would be beneficial

• Familiarity with heavy equipment or a similar industry would be considered an asset

• Team player with a keen attention to detail

• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective verbal and written communication skills
