If that describes you, then let’s talk about your future with Finning (Canada).As a Service Supervisor with Finning Canada, you will manage the team by providing strong leadership, measure technician productivity, coach, mentor, provide performance feedback and support the growth of the technicians. You will develop and leverage both internal and external relationships to identify process improvements, create standardization, and understand and achieve business goals.
Job Description:
- Lead, educate, and mentor a team of 10-20 members in a union environment, ensuring designated equipment repairs and service objectives are met seamlessly.
- Effectively handle training mandates, performance assessments, and coaching engagements for all direct reports.
- Drive improvement activities across the shift to increase team knowledge and capability
- Model the way for a safe, environmentally sound and healthy work behaviors in support of Finning’s Safety Policies, Programs and initiatives
- Foster collaboration with branch stakeholders, facilitating successful operational execution.
- Offer insightful guidance to teams on adherence to Finning's policies and principles.
- Adhere to 5S standards and maintain cleanliness on the floor and within facility bay structure
- Extend technical support for various service operations, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Efficiently fulfill assigned tasks and activities as requested, showcasing a commitment to excellence.
Key Qualifications:
- Strong desire to be a part of a world class team focused on achieving results
- Possession of a relevant journeyperson certificate; having a HET credential is preferred.
- Strong and proven experience leading shop, technical repair or manufacturing teams in a fast-paced, team-focused environment with strong customer facing responsibilities.
- Exceptional leadership abilities. 2-4 years of supervisory experience is preferred
- Must demonstrate reliability, initiative, and desire to learn
- Able to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities, establish and achieve goals.
- Work & communicate with multiple stakeholders in different departments to achieve goals
- Superior planning and organizational capabilities to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Applications, SIS and Caterpillar Corporate Web Navigation
- Driver's License with a clean Driver's Abstract
