As a Broadcasting Designer, you will create and implement cinematic content for EA Sports FC games. You will collaborate with game designers, art directors and producers on the design of compelling, authentic and exciting experiences that showcase the beautiful game of football to fans around the world. You will also partner with programmers and artists to implement exciting in-game sequences using in-house tools and the Frostbite engine.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, prototype and implement various in-game camera sequences within the provided schedule.
  • Follow direction and reference materials provided by producers, art directors and game designers, and realize the vision through your own cameras and sequences.
  • Learn and use in-house tools and the Frostbite engine to implement cameras and sequences of shots that convey the authenticity of a live football match broadcast.
  • Use in-house tools and the Frostbite engine to implement indicators and other broadcasting-related augmented reality elements.
  • Collaborate with multiple teams (artists, animators, gameplay, audio, interface and rendering engineers) to identify and define requirements for implementation of broadcasting features.
  • Gather references and present ideas back to the team, contributing to the design vision of the project.

Your Qualifications

  • Knowledge of cinematography techniques: camera composition, timing, framing and cinematic scene blocking.
  • Understand narrative causality and logic.
  • Commitment to deliver quality content while balancing efficiency.
  • Experience with industry software, such as game engines and 3D software.
  • Two years experience in a digital art content creation pipeline, ideally in the video game industry.


The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.


• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $63,350 - $98,800 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
