Our motive is to create innovative action games within iconic worlds where every player feels like the hero. Let’s say that again—iconic worlds, where every player feels like the hero.

Our passion has taken us from imagining dogfighter pilots in Star Wars™: Squadrons, to re-creating Isaac Clarke onboard the Ishimura in Dead Space™, and now to building an original Iron Man action-adventure video game.

We believe in sharing our passion with our community, and with each other by having transparent discussions, by practicing an inclusive culture, and by nurturing a continuous growth mindset. Our approach feels simple, but it leads to the best work of our careers, and as a team, building unique and immersive experiences.

Motive is looking for an AI Software Developer to join its Iron Man team using Unreal Engine 5. You will report to the Lead Senior Software Developer and work closely with designers, animators and other programmers to develop AI systems, tools and behaviors to bring the gameplay experience to life on our next AAA title.

  • Develop core AI technologies and develop behaviours as part of multi disciplinary team
  • Collaborate closely with the designers to advance the games AI vision
  • Work with partner teams to co-develop and adopt new AI technology
  • Participate in code and design reviews
  • Work closely with QA and technical leadership to ensure the stability and accuracy of game systems by identifying, communicating, and resolving defects

  • B.S. (or higher) degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 5+ years of professional C/C++ experience
  • Solid understanding of 3D math
  • Experience shipping at least one AAA title with a significant AI contribution
  • Familiarity with advanced game engines like Unreal, Unity and others
  • Experience working on modern console platforms and PC with at least one shipped title
  • Passion for making games look and play great
