About the role:
We are seeking an experienced Director, Manufacturing Sales who possesses a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, a proven track record in B2B sales, and the ability to forge strategic partnerships with major manufacturing companies. This role requires a visionary leader capable of driving revenue growth and fostering long-term client relationships.

What you'll do:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy targeting large manufacturing companies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify large manufacturing clients, analyze industry trends, and stay informed about the competitive landscape
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers in manufacturing, including executives, procurement managers, and engineering teams
  • Effectively communicate the value of our manufacturing solutions, tailoring proposals to address specific challenges and opportunities for clients
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to deliver seamless and integrated solutions to clients
  • Manage and optimize the sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasts and reports to the executive team for strategic decision-making
  • Lead negotiations, finalize deals, and ensure the successful execution of contracts that are mutually beneficial for both the client and D-Wave

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred
  • Proven track record of at least 8-10 years in B2B sales, with a focus on selling solutions to large manufacturing companies
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and a keen understanding of industry trends
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions clearly
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings, industry events, and to nurture client relationships
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach, demonstrating a commitment to achieving and exceeding sales targets
