SCOPE OF POSITION

The Software Project Manager will be responsible for developing and overseeing software projects from start to finish while managing and motivating team members. The successful Software Project Manager will have good working knowledge of project estimation techniques and the ability to motivate team members. They will be a great communicator and have strong decision-making skills.

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Project Management

  • Discuss potential projects and its parameters with clients, executives and software developers.
  • Define project scope, objectives and ensure that deliverables meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Produce documentation to effectively communicate stake holder requirements to the software development teams.
  • Monitor project progress and communicate status updates to stakeholders and upper management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
  • Ability to manage conflicts and solve problems efficiently.
  • Good time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Health & Safety

  • Identify with and respect ConeTec’s safety culture, first and foremost.
  • Ensure proper preparation and knowledge of all necessary safe operating procedures before beginning any job.
  • Report any safety-related incidents, infractions, or near misses to the Manager and the HSE Officer immediately.
  • Know and follow the incident reporting protocol at all times.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Certificate in Project Management or related field
  • In-depth understanding of the software project delivery life cycle models
  • Knowledge developing in C#, JavaScript in a web as well as desktop environment is an asset.
  • Certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) an asset.

Experience Requirements

  • Experience with tasking software and scheduling software (Monday.com).
  • Proven track record of management success in the delivery of complex software projects in multi-discipline, multi-stakeholder environments.

Technical Skill Requirements

  • Experience with C#, .NET and ReactJS.
  • Experience with Redux, and SQL Server is also desirable

Soft Skill requirements:

  • Must possess strong work ethic and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • Must be responsible and work well independently or in a team setting with minimal supervision.
  • Must enjoy performing a wide variety of duties and be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
