Department Overview

This Quoting & Pricing Manager position is responsible for the leadership and management of the NG9-1-1 Emergency Call Handling (ECH) System Quoting Team and operations. This team is responsible for developing purchasable price quotes for upgrades, new systems or support renewals of our 9-1-1 ECH product offerings. This also includes the responsibility to manage pricing and margins associated with these quotes.


Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a cross-functional team of up to ten members, that includes business system integrations and platforms

  • Ensure timely reviews and approvals for strategic sales/RFP’s

  • Report weekly/monthly/ quarterly team statistics

  • Creates Pricing for Emergency Call Handling sales

  • Manages Sole Source Proposals/RFP quotes depending on pricing thresholds

  • Work closely with Pricing and Profitability on Direct quotes over $1M and RFPs

  • Daily interactions with multiple departments, including Executive Management on key business decisions

  • Understands and maintains current knowledge of the company’s products and services. Keeps informed on competitive pricing, sales techniques, and marketing policies. Utilizes resources and performs research to determine sales patterns and strategies.

  • Coordinates and manages regularly scheduled progress meetings. Ensures pricing, strategic, and overall project objectives are being met through the use of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Works with the Proposals team on all strategic RFPs to help with the strategy, content, response, and pricing.

  • Work with PBMs on Direct Sole-Sourced sales proposals

  • Analyze customer requests for proposals (RFPs) to understand the requirements

  • Coordinate team responsibilities, schedule meetings, and set timelines

  • Organize content into a well-formatted, cohesive document

  • Review competitor materials to regularly enhance sales deliverables

  • Ability to work within strict deadlines

  • Positive attitude with the willingness to learn and collaborate

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in persuasive writing

  • Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, Internet, and email

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferably a background in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field)

  • 5+ years of working experience in sales, engineering or business operations

  • 1+ Years of management experience

  • Excellent presentation skills preferred

  • Strong verbal and written skills; fluency in English

  • Should be skilled with, Word, PowerPoint, Google Suite, drawing and diagramming tools (such as MS Visio or similar)

  • CPQ knowledge is a plus


Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years experience in sales, engineering, business operations, or related field, OR 5+ years experience in sales, engineering, business operations or related field.
