Department Overview

The Jr. Account Executive is responsible for working with regional Motorola Solutions customers. The candidate will focus on Account Management/Sales in the Mountain West Region (ID, MT, E. WA, E. OR) and support activity within the entire territory (ID, MT, WA, OR, N. CA, AK, HI).


Job Description

The Jr. Account executive is responsible for working with local gov't public safety account in the Mountain West Region (ID, MT, E. WA, E. OR) to drive new business opportunities and sales, while also providing support for the T8N territory (NorCal, OR, WA, ID, MT, AK, HI) sales team. This position sells public safety hardware and software solutions directly to customers within their designated accounts. This position will also support trade shows/event planning, managing contracts, as well as providing sales team assistance and support for identified key accounts. Responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

  • Prospect and develop new opportunities to meet/exceed quotas and other sales objectives by regularly meeting with customers in person and remotely
  • Actively collaborate and strategize with key Account Executives to increase and capture sales within the T8N territory
  • Develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing customers
  • Ability to travel 30-40% of the time in the territory

Additional Knowledge/Skills:

  • Possess a strong phone presence and superior communication (written, verbal, and interpersonal)
  • Perseverant; works hard and handles objections well
  • BA/BS in business or marketing preferred

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree OR 2+ years of sales/customer service experience
  • Must live in Idaho or Montana
