Department Overview

Motorola Solutions designs, develops, and manufactures end-to-end physical security solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems. The company’s products and services have been installed in more than 120 countries at thousands of customer sites, including school campuses, transportation systems, healthcare centers, public venues, critical infrastructure, prisons, factories, casinos, airports, financial institutions, government facilities, and retailers.

Within the Video Security & Access Control (VS&AC) business unit at Motorola Solutions, we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer.

Job Description

As a Product Operations Associate, you will work closely with product managers and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful market launch and management of the company's products. This role is pivotal in ensuring the products are accessible and purchasable by our customers and partners.

Reporting to the Senior Product Operations Manager, the position requires a mix of technical, operational, and interpersonal skills. A successful candidate should be comfortable with technology tools and be able to understand the nuances of product management, both software and hardware. The emphasis is on collaborating with various stakeholders, especially product managers, and serving others as part of the company culture of cooperation and mutual success.

Responsibilities:

Product Lifecycle

• Set up and maintain product data across platforms such as Oracle PLM, Salesforce, and SAP.

• Handle and resolve the incoming stream of product operations tickets and requests.

• Manage product transitions, coordinate SKUs, and ensure product availability.

• Integrate new products into the tools, guaranteeing they are orderable and maintainable.

• Collaborate with stakeholders, securing timely and accurate product data dissemination.

• Ensure the smooth transition of products by managing their availability status.

• Engage with the supply chain teams on accessory updates.

• Provide logistics and aid for product Beta initiatives.

Pricing Acumen

• Maintain and update product price lists in Salesforce, eCommerce, and storefront platforms.

• Assist with pricing updates for new product launches or adjustments to the existing products.

• Support the implementation of promotional pricing or discounts for sales SPIFF initiatives.

• Provide reports on pricing data modifications for review by senior team members.

• Address changes in regional pricing and foreign exchange (FX) rates.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement areas of workflow enhancement and process improvement.

• Collaborate with IT teams to suggest improvements to tools, systems, and platforms.

• Engage with stakeholders on concurrent projects and bolster knowledge transfer.

• Develop, document, and facilitate training modules for the product management team.

Qualifications:

• University Degree

• 1+ years of experience working in a technical role

• Familiarity with a range of software tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Oracle PLM, Salesforce, SAP, Atlassian, Jira, Confluence, etc.

• Interpersonal skills are paramount, with emphasis on verbal and written communication, relationship-building, and a strong drive to support others.

• Seeking a genuine self-starter – someone who thrives on taking the initiative, diving into new challenges headfirst, and figuring things out independently.

• Ability to adapt, learn on the fly, and proactively address tasks will be invaluable in this role.
