Department Overview

The Software Enterprise Deployment and Integration team is the team that delivers solutions to the public safety sector. We are committed to providing technology and tools which will allow customers to focus on their mission, and enable them to respond faster with smarter and safer decisions. We deploy and support products such as Computer Aided Dispatch, Records Management Systems, Jail Management Systems, Mobile Data Computing, Situational Awareness, and Investigative tools, among other offerings.


Job Description

Motorola Solutions is building talent pipelines to meet future hiring demands. This is a pipeline role, while there is not an immediate opening, we want to build relationships with prospective candidates like you. With our team’s vast Public Safety Experience, our experts bring real-world knowledge to our software solutions. The team provides real-world and industry best practice experience that supports the successful adoption of Motorola Solutions software products.

This position will work with the customer to understand deep business requirements as it relates to Reporting Services. Includes requirements documentation, implementation, verification, training and support. Responsibilities include configuring and authoring SQL reports and dashboards, Training on MSI Applications and SQL, Capture Application Level Business Requirements BPR, guiding customer in reporting best practices as it relates to data structure and public safety, and Go Live Support. Responsible for setup and installation of technical systems, applications, or process designs for clients purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions. Works directly with customer to manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation, and train or coordinate training for customer users. Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution. Provides feedback based on customer experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in one of the following: Public Safety, Business Analysis, Field Service, SQL/SSRS Reporting Services

  • Technical expert in SQL or similar reporting language.

  • Ability to work on large/complex projects independently.

  • Create and deliver customized training (record, remote, and on-site)

  • Must be able to execute, create, review, and modify customer-facing documentation.

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills - written and verbal.

  • Understanding of Public Safety policies and procedures.

  • Technical understanding on how software products work end-to-end.

  • Lead and organize AS resources on complex projects.

  • Identifies and mitigates risks and communicates those to management.

  • Creates formal documentation for peers.

  • Primary point of contact for application-related issues.

  • Works with Product Management to communicate enhancement requests.

  • Ability to provide all required customer training without assistance.

  • Must be able to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.

This position involves up to 50% travel in support of projects and team activities.

This position is a remote position and candidates can be located anywhere in the US. It is extremely preferred that candidates live in the Western United States (California preferred)

Salary Range: $70,300 - $128,800 per year

This position is subject to working in high-security areas governed by the US Department of Justice's "Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Security Policy" and therefore requires successfully passing a more stringent fingerprint background check administered by Motorola Solutions Inc. customers.
