The position is for a manager role for software presales support within the Software Enterprise organization. This individual and team will be responsible for all tools, templates, and training (both direct and channel) for all software solutions and sleeves that serve our public safety customers including Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions. Ownership of these processes and tools allows for a more consistent approach throughout software presales creating better alignment between all key work partners involved including sales, finance, deployment & a more consistent go to market approach for sales and our customers. Additionally, select strategic initiatives relating to proposal cycle time, quality, and the overall software integration story will be incorporated into daily workflows based on individual skill sets.
The primary job functions for this role include:
The individual should be the expert in their technical sleeve so templates, tools, and training created allow anyone to learn and perform the needed presales tasks
Own and Maintain Statement of Work(s) for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions
Own and Maintain Sole Source Proposal Templates for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions
Own and Maintain RFP Response Templates for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions
Own and Maintain tools including configurators, quoting forms for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions, including the costing, part #'s, and pricing
Own and Maintain the pre to post sales templates and process
Understand the needs of our pricing & profitability and finance teams when developing new tools, configurators
Coordinate and manage regularly scheduled progress meetings on new product introductions and understand where it fits within the technology’s scope
Have a financial understanding of list price, costs, gross margin and how they are derived
Listen to the Sales & Presale teams on what scenarios work well and what needs to be fine tuned
Provide constructive feedback to sales & presale teams on positive/negative scenarios
Provide training to presales, sales, and our channels around the presale process including tools, templates, and process
Manage process questions from direct sales and software sales regarding legal, service, and financial questions to arrive at a "Best Effort Approach"
Maintain Accurate Sales Questionnaire forms that drives the design of the opportunity for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions
Assemble RACI matrix to then templatize the language to support SOW's for Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and all related Cloud solutions
Work with Product and Launch Management on new offers and alterations to current offers
Provide Pricing and CPQ teams with System Integration costing and quote output collateral
Validate costs and language remain consistent across all Presales deliverables
Organize contents into a well-formatted, cohesive documents for ease of maintenance
Act as a general liaison between PreSales and Deployment teams as necessary
Striker team to help wherever the organization needs it, Computer Aided Dispatch presales & the production of urgent Computer Aided Dispatch proposals, for example
Motivated to drive, implement, and close select strategic initiatives relating to proposal cycle time, quality, and the overall software integration story that impact the SLT
Act as a trusted advisor to presales and sales by influencing forward thinking capabilities to drive the creation and maintenance of quoting tools, proposal templates, and SOW’s
The ideal candidate has the following skills and capabilities:
Bachelor’s Degree is required
Ability to work within strict deadlines
Strong multi-tasking, organizational, and time management skills
Experience in Emergency Call Handling, Computer Aided Dispatch, and Cloud solutions in any capacity (Tool, Proposal, SOWs) a Plus
Seeking 4+ years of experience in presales, sales, business development, finance, or related fields
Prior working experience in Public Safety Software systems is highly desired
A positive attitude with a can-do mentality that enables you to be creative, resourceful and deliver results
Strong written and oral communications skills with the ability to present information to technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Willingness to think out of the box and challenge the status quo
Attention to detail and a flawless execution mindset
Proficiency in applications including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Google email and web applications
Travel Required: 20%
The base salary range for the position is $90,000-$130,000 USD.
4+ years of experience in one of the following: presales, sales, business development, or finance
